1. About the Site
GeothermalFinder.com is an online directory of geothermal heat pump installation, ground loop drilling, and geothermal system service providers operating in the United States. The Site is operated by GeothermalFinder.com ("we," "us," or "our"). Users of the Site include members of the general public seeking service providers ("Visitors") and business operators who are listed or wish to be listed in the directory ("Operators").
2. Use of Directory Data
The content on this Site — including business names, addresses, phone numbers, websites, ratings, and all associated data — is provided for personal, non-commercial reference use only. You may not:
- Systematically copy, scrape, crawl, harvest, or extract data from the Site by automated means, including bots, spiders, or data mining tools;
- Reproduce, republish, resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit any directory data in whole or in part without our prior written consent;
- Use directory data to build, update, or supplement any competing directory, database, or lead list;
- Send unsolicited communications (spam) to Operators based on their contact information found on this Site;
- Misrepresent your affiliation with any listed Operator.
Permitted use includes searching for service providers, viewing individual listing pages, and sharing individual listing URLs for reference purposes.
3. Listing Accuracy Disclaimer
We make reasonable efforts to ensure that directory listings are accurate and current. However, we cannot guarantee the completeness, accuracy, or timeliness of any information displayed on the Site. Business information — including addresses, phone numbers, hours of operation, licensing status, and service descriptions — may change without notice.
THE SITE AND ALL CONTENT ARE PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. We do not warrant that any listed Operator is licensed, insured, qualified, or in good standing with any regulatory authority. Verification of credentials, insurance, and compliance status is the responsibility of the Visitor prior to hiring any service provider.
Rating data displayed on listing pages is sourced from third-party platforms (including Google) and reflects the opinions of third-party reviewers. We do not author, endorse, or verify these ratings and accept no responsibility for their accuracy.
4. Operator Listings and User-Submitted Content
Operators who submit or claim listings on this Site ("Submitted Content") represent and warrant that:
- All information provided is accurate, complete, and not misleading;
- They have the legal right to submit and authorize use of any content provided, including business names, logos, photos, and descriptions;
- Their submission does not infringe any third-party intellectual property rights, privacy rights, or applicable law.
By submitting content to the Site, Operators grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual license to use, display, reproduce, and distribute that content on the Site and in promotional materials related to the Site. This license survives removal of the listing unless we receive a written request for deletion and confirm removal.
We reserve the right to edit, reject, remove, or modify any listing or Submitted Content at our sole discretion without notice or liability. We do not guarantee that any listing will remain on the Site for any particular duration.
5. Subscription Services and Billing
Paid Listing Tiers
Operators may purchase enhanced listing tiers on an annual subscription basis. Current pricing is available on our Advertise page. All prices are stated in US dollars.
Billing and Automatic Renewal
Paid listings are billed on an annual basis. Your subscription renews automatically on the anniversary of your original purchase date. A renewal notice will be sent to the email address on file before your billing date. By completing a purchase, you authorize us to charge your payment method on file for the applicable annual subscription fee at each renewal, unless you cancel before the renewal date.
Payment Processing
All payments are processed securely by Square, Inc. ("Square"). By completing a purchase, you also agree to Square's applicable Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. GeothermalFinder.com does not store your full payment card information.
Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time by emailing [email protected]. Your listing will remain active through the end of the current paid billing period. No prorated refund is issued for unused time, except within the initial 30-day money-back guarantee window described in our Refund Policy.
Refunds
All purchases include a 30-day money-back guarantee. If you are unsatisfied for any reason within 30 calendar days of your original purchase, contact us at [email protected] for a full refund. Full terms are at our Refund Policy page.
6. Intellectual Property
All original content on this Site — including the Site design, layout, graphics, logos, text, data compilations, and software — is the property of GeothermalFinder.com or its licensors and is protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
Nothing in these Terms grants you any right, title, or interest in our intellectual property. You may not use our name, logo, or branding without prior written consent. Unauthorized reproduction or commercial use of Site content is prohibited and may result in legal action.

7. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL GEOTHERMALFINDER.COM, ITS OWNERS, OPERATORS, EMPLOYEES, OR AGENTS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, PUNITIVE, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- Loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities;
- Damages arising from your reliance on directory information;
- Damages resulting from any service performed or not performed by a listed Operator;
- Damages from unauthorized access to or alteration of your transmissions or data.
Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising out of your use of this Site shall not exceed USD $100, regardless of the basis or form of the claim.
This Site does not broker, arrange, or guarantee any transaction between Visitors and Operators. We are not a party to any agreement between a Visitor and an Operator. Any disputes arising from services performed by an Operator must be resolved directly with that Operator.
8. Dispute Resolution
We encourage you to contact us first at [email protected] to resolve any concern informally. We will make a good-faith effort to resolve disputes within 30 days of receiving written notice.
If informal resolution is not successful, any claim or dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the Site shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, without regard to conflicts of law principles.
You agree that any legal action or proceeding between you and GeothermalFinder.com shall be brought exclusively in the courts of competent jurisdiction in the Province of Ontario, Canada. You consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts. Nothing in these Terms prevents us from seeking injunctive or other equitable relief in any court of competent jurisdiction to prevent the unauthorized use of our intellectual property or confidential information.
9. Privacy
Your use of this Site is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Site, you consent to the data practices described in the Privacy Policy.
10. Modifications to These Terms and the Site
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Site after any such change constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the Site.
We also reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Site or any part of it at any time without notice or liability. We may add, remove, or modify listings at our discretion.
11. Third-Party Links and Services
The Site may contain links to third-party websites, including Operator websites. These links are provided for convenience only. We do not endorse and are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or terms of any third-party sites. Accessing third-party sites is at your own risk.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless GeothermalFinder.com and its owners, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the Site, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.
13. Severability and Entire Agreement
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid under applicable law, that provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and GeothermalFinder.com regarding your use of the Site.
