PSEG Long Island has a separate 2026 application. Local building, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, excavation and environmental approvals may still apply.

In Nassau, Suffolk, Kings and Queens counties, an open-loop or standing-column system capable of producing more than 45 gallons per minute requires a Part 602 permit for boreholes up to 500 feet.
